Results from EU Commission’s mHealth Study Demonstrate the Importance of mHealth Summit at eHealth Week
Have You Seen the Results of Last Week’s European Commission Consultation on mHealth?
According to the results of a public consultation, strong privacy and security tools are essential to help mHealth flourish in Europe. The results also show that ensuring patient safety and developing a clear legal framework to facilitate the access of entrepreneurs to the market are also important requirements.
During eHealth Week, the Commission will discuss the options for policy actions as part of the creation of a Digital Single Market in Europe. Be a part of the discussion.

Me and my Health - Transcending Borders
It is no secret that the real beneficiary of eHealth and mHealth solutions is the patient. To truly benefit, however, patients need to be enabled to participate fully in their own healthcare journey - and this is key to the technologies' success.
This inspirational opening plenary will explore how we can increase patients’ participation in their own healthcare. It will also introduce some of the main conference themes, emphasising the role that eHealth and mHealth have to play.

How Can EU Entrepreneurs Access the mHealth App Market?
What does Europe need to go truly digital when it comes to healthcare? How can we ensure interoperability of mHealth solutions with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for Continuity of Care purposes? These are just some of the questions that the mHealth community in Europe has needed answers to for a long time.
On January 13, the European Commission's consultation on mHealth's results were published. European public authorities, healthcare providers, patients’ organisations and web entrepreneurs have now spoken loud and clear, and this is a selection of the top priorities on the mHealth agenda:
•   Privacy and security
•   Patient safety
•   Clear legal frameworks
•   Improved evidence on cost-effectiveness
Join us at the mHealth Summit Europe in May for the chance to discover what these survey results really mean and how they will be turned into policy actions in the near future.
